Juice Recipe: Sweet Kale


This drink is a combination of Sweet Celery and Tropikale. It’s both sweet, and full of green nutrition. It’s a hydrating option at any time of day.


  • 1 large Pineapple
  • 5 Oranges
  • 1 head of Celery
  • 4 – 8 oz Kale
  • 1 thumb of Ginger

  1. Wash non-organic citrus in warm/hot water (I like to rinse off the chemicals that’s on them)
  2. Thoroughly dry the washed fruits
  3. Chop and wash off any dirt from the celery and kale
  4. Rinse, dry and chop the skin off the pineapple
  5. Cut the pineapple and oranges into segments to fit your juicer
  6. Peel the ginger
  7. Juice all the ingredients together
  8. Run a little water through the juicer to make up to desired amount (optional)
  9. Sieve the juice

As you can see in the video, I used some water during the juicing process. If you have a vertical masticating juicer, you might find that pineapple and celery can clog it up a little. That’s why I add the water, just to help keep things moving through. In my experience, pineapple juices come out quite frothy. Pineapples managed to create froth even when using my Norwalk juicer!
